Boler on the ferry

This nice little Boler was seen in very tight quarters on the MV Balfour ferry. Travelling between Kootenay Bay and Balfour BC, this is the longest free ferry ride in the world. In addition to this ship, seen heading west on our trip, this route also hosts the newer and larger Osprey 2000. In the summer the two ships alternate and will pass each other midway.

On our vacation we are headed to Nelson BC, which turns out to have the highest population of Bolers we have ever seen. We documented a half dozen this trip. This spotting took place in August 2012.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. Very collectible and a we make a fun game spotting them on road trips.

Later we’d see it in Nelson, not far away.
