I want to ride my bicycle…

Besides hiking and climbing up ridges and mountains, and exploring old and abandoned places, Connie and I also bike. Like we don’t have enough hobbies already! This is an activity we don’t feel we do enough of, a situation that we are hoping to change in 2015. We need to hit the dirt more, and the pavement too, we like both, and report about it here on the BIGDoer website.

I don’t think we’ll ever be terribly hard core, but who cares.

The photo seen here was taken in June of this year, along the Boundary Ridge trail in West Bragg Creek, Kananaskis. This outing ended up being a bust, damn freezing cold rain, and so did not merit a trip report. Soon after this picture was taken we were hiding under trees due to the deluge of rain. The trail, once that stopped, was a little too slick, so we turned around and headed back to the car. Our bikes, good as they are, are not well suited for more then moderately difficult trail conditions. Or maybe it’s us. Either way, the rain killed it.

My steed, a Scott hard tail is seen in the photo. It’s a great bike.

Here’s one of our rare biking reports…
Stoney Trail, a hellish journey.

Short Subjects: reports that for any number of reasons are brief in nature. They might be updates to older articles, previews of posts not yet published, brief snippets of things that don’t fit in anywhere else or subjects that are so obscure that information on them can’t be found.

If you need any more information on what we talked about here, by all means contact us!

Date of adventure: June, 2014.
Location: West Bragg Creek, AB.

Nothing is better then a bike ride in the hills.
