GMC 470
The fine old truck we’re looking at in this post is a late 40s/early 50s GMC model 470, found in a industrial section of Calgary. This brute is a tractor used to pull trailers and shared the same sheet metal as the smaller GMC pickups of the era. That’s why it might look familiar. It’s not in bad shape for its age and appears complete. Love those huge side mirrors!
We often find old trucks and other interesting vehicles when out exploring the more gritty areas of town, such as this. Some days we just cruise around them aimlessly hoping that we’ll discover something. If you want to help us though and know the location of an old truck, car, RV, Boler trailer or whatever, drop us a line. We’ll check it out and if shown on the website, we’ll give you credit.
