Your next stop…the Boler Zone!

We actually don’t capture that many Bolers in motion, so finding one on the road is extra special. Most we see are parked, at campgrounds or between outings, stashed away in alleys, back yards and the like. This example, a seventeen foot model, with a rather unique crocheted spare tire cover, was found as we reached Calgary city limits after coming back from one of our road trip adventures. The date is June 2015.

The spiral, it’s so damn hypnotizing. I’m reminded of the old Twilight Zone TV show opening…

“You’re travelling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. Your next stop…the Boler Zone!”

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and our other adventures.

Was browsing your Boler pics and loved seeing this one…as that’s ours! Sure needs a clean though! Very interesting site, thanks for sharing.

Hmmmm, maybe I am wasting my talents by only crocheting blankets.
