Boler and Canoe

It’s almost a rock solid guarantee that while out exploring we’ll come across a Boler or two. Case in point, the seventeen foot example seen here, along with its attendant canoe, spotted in the community of Didsbury, part way between Calgary and Red Deer, while we searched out an old house we were due to photograph.

It wears the most common paint scheme applied to this size model (recall there was a smaller more egg-shaped thirteen footer), a tan-ish colour with orange and yellow cross-over “speed” stripes. Spotted in July 2015 – yes we are so behind in posting these – it was one of two we found in the town that day along with a rare Boler-like trailer from another make.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and our other adventures.
