Bow-ness Bow-ler Bow-nanza

Here’s our first Boler of 2013 and one of two we’d see this day, both within minutes of each other.

This somewhat ragged looking example was found in February in the Calgary neighbourhood of Bowness, as was the other which will appear in a follow up report. It looks like this one is being used as accommodation while the house it sits in front is being worked on. There are power cables leading to it and it shows evidence of being lived in. Pretty cramped quarters for extended stays and I am not sure how well these trailers handle the colder weather this time of year.

Finding one Boler is good, but two in the same day is pretty rare and quite exciting and not long after we stumbled across another. To see this second one follow this link…
Red, White and Boler.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. Very collectible and a we make a fun game spotting them on road trips.
