Not a Boler – a Beachcomber
In this report we look at a cute little trailer called a Beachcomber, the first one of this type we’ve ever seen. While it has a lot of Boler-like features (small size, fibreglass construction) its squared shape means it will never be confused with the other. In spite of that, we’ll include it here.
Only little snippets of information can be found on who made this line and it appears they were built in Morden Manitoba from at least 1974 until about 1979. If one searches Beachcombers that are listed for sale, 1976 and 1977 models seem to be the most common.
This one was spotted in Calgary in January 2014
Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. Very collectible and a we make a fun game spotting them on road trips. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance to Bolers.

i have a Beachcomber too. I am wondering if these things can be winterized and how that is done?
I’d suggest you search out forums. Still, by their nature, these don’t lend themselves well to this.

Here’s hoping someone reading this can assist you. We’re love little trailers but know nothing of their maintenance and upkeep.
Finally got this thing dialed in 👍🇨🇦🍻
Awesome!
I am restoring a 14 ft 1974 I guess. I need to replace the electric brakes and would like to know if the Dexter replacement assembly would fit. Or if anyone knows the manufactuer of the wheel housing used. Thanks Garry
I’m afraid we don’t know the technical details, but I’ll pass this along to some experts we know and maybe they might have an answer for you.
hey there, did you end up getting any information on the brakes in the end?
Here’s hoping they see your comment and answers.
I bought a small square fiberglass trailer the other day and have no info on it. I tore out the floor and cleaned all the debris out of it. It looks like a Beachcomber model.
Cool. If you’re still uncertain send us a photo (go to the contact page) and we’ll positively identify it. Nice little trailers.
