Not a Boler – a Triple E Surfside

Beside the Boler company there are and were many, many other makes of small fiberglass camping trailers. You might recognize the name Trillium which is the most popular brand and in fact there are more of them then any other. We’ve seen hundreds. The Triple E Surfside seen in this report is one of the less common. This is only our third.

The Triple E company is still in business, in Manitoba, where this trailer was made. Today however, they make camper vans. The newest Surfside we’ve stumbled across was a 1980 model, the oldest, from the early 1970s. This trailer was spotted in Calgary in June 2014.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. Very collectible and a we make a fun game spotting them on road trips. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or in configuration to Bolers.

I need a new lock for our 1973 Triple E Boler travel trailer. Any idea where I could get one? Trailer Dealers in Calgary do not seem to have any Boler parts.

    • If you have a Triple E, it’s a Surfside and not Boler. Triple E is still in business, in Manitoba, and a call to them can point you in the right direction.
