Western theme Boler

Rarely do we capture a Boler while on the road. Usually they quickly pass us by heading in the opposite direction, but here we are lucky and find one going the same way we are. This one has been customized with cowboys and cacti, offering up an interesting western motif. One thing we’ve noticed is owners of Boler trailers often personalize them with unique or colourful paint jobs.

This example was seen along the Trans-Canada Highway near Morley Alberta, in September 2012.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. Very collectible and a we make a fun game spotting them on road trips.

Back in 2005 I spotted the “Ukrainian Airstream” here in Calgary, the paint job didn’t last long before fading as I recall… http://www.flickr.com/photos/sherlock77/21697770/
