It reminded me of a corner store that used to be on 16 Ave NW (Jacks) that we used to go to in 1969-1971.

The neighbourhood that I grew up in had 4 or 5 of them including a 7-11. They’ve sort of taken over everywhere now. I won’t complain about them as my wife collects a pretty good paycheque from them. I always liked the one in the Ramsay area.
