Driveway Boler

Walking about random Calgary neighbourhoods, as we’re apt to do, it’s almost guaranteed we’ll make a new Boler discovery. It happens almost every single time and case in point, the little trailer seen here, spotted by chance while out for a stroll. Based on our hit-ratio, it’s clear there’s a fair number of these little trailers out there, and we ponder how many close calls we’ve had. You know, missed it by a block of two?

Still, we see our share.

This find is from June 2020 and demonstrates that all you need is a little space – here a driveway – and you’ve got a place to store your Boler. This nice little trailer displays a metal plaque (above the back window) applied to Bolers up until sometime later in the 1970s. Afterwards they used stickers.

From the same week…
Parkdale Crescent NW – Little changed over time.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass camping trailer made in Canada in the 1960s to 1980s and we make a fun game spotting them on road trips or adventures. We’ll also include similar trailers from other manufacturers that are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
