Seph Lawless
(Pseudonym)/Joseph or Joe Melendez (Real Name) Charity Scam and other
notes.
Oct 01 2018, 09:38.
Here we go again! After what's
been a quiet few months...in our best Poltergeist-esque Carol
Anne...he's back! There's been a flood of pro-Seph comments posted to
our site, all speaking of his awesomeness and sounding as though
written by the same person with consistently bad spelling and
grammar. So it's him. Most are being relayed from Russia, to hide his
tracks I suppose. At least none of them have called us Joe, as he had
been doing in the past a lot. Guess he's figured out Joe and I are
two separate people. He can't keep his battles straight!
And
there's been a rash of calls from Russia too, which I suspect he's
behind. When answered there's never anyone on the other line. But
they sure can be annoying.

Phone calls
have stopped. But now there's another DOS attack. It failed to bring
the site down. Our host said it was barely a blip.

Continuing the debunking theme. Seph claims to have an
association with well known “Layer” (sorry, couldn't help
myself) Larry Zukerman including this little tidbit on Seph's page:
“Seph Lawless’ lawyer, Larry Zuckerman, is known
as one of the most ruthless defensive lawyers in the U.S. Over the
years, Zuckerman has been by the side of Lawless during an array of
legal woes of the controversial artist and activist, who often finds
himself being sued for something.”
“People don’t
realize that Seph Lawless is a brand and a business. When you try to
attack or hurt that brand there are consequences and you may end up
paying both monetarily and punitively for damages, Says
Zuckerman.”
Here's where it gets interesting. Zukerman's
last name is spelled without a “c” as we did in this very
sentence. In each and every Seph reference, it's with a “c”,
so “Zuckerman”. Now Seph is a consistently bad speller
but that each and every mention is done with that one little letter
included suggests it's quite deliberate, further suggesting he's
trying to connect himself to Zukerman falsely.
It all smells
fishy.
Why does it matter? Anyone speaking badly of Seph or
challenging him, so a crap-load of folks, will get threatened with a
LOLSuite (see:
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Lolsuit)
and at that point he'll name drop “Zuckerman”, who you
might look up and then on seeing he's real might get you to stop.
Jokingly, we're still waiting for Seph and Zuckerman to take our
house.

This just crossed my desk. Seems
Seph, Joe, Joseph...wait for it...has committed a
Charity/Philanthropy scam. Here's a paper on that very subject, a
matter of public record.
Link: Joseph
Melendez/Seph Lawless Charity Scam
It outs Seph as Joseph
(Joe) Melendez, like that's news. And in simple terms he was
collecting on behalf of and aligning himself with a number of
recognized charities without permission, a big no-no Further, it's
said money was not dispersed as claimed.
So let's see, that
funny business, bankruptcy fraud. What's next? Yeah, a high profile
lawyer would want this guy as a client.
Direct quote: “Since at least 2012, Joseph Melendez has utilized the pseudonym “Seph Lawless” for business purposes. Joseph Melendez failed to obtain the written consent of the charitable organization whose names was uses by Joseph Melendez during his charitable sales promotions.”
It only gets more interesting...
From Seph's website:
“Recently, a man named Matthew Christopher was sued in court on
libel charges after he lied about Seph Lawless several times on
Facebook posts. The man who calls himself Abandoned America now faces
series of charges. Seph Lawless is currently suing the man for
defamation after he falsely accused Seph Lawless of charity fraud.
Seph Lawless is facing legal battles from almost every direction and
his legal team has been successful, but it’s all been an
exhausting according to
Lawless.”

Imagine
Seph calling out Christopher for screwing over charities when all
along Seph was guilty of it at that very time. Either he's full on
ballsy or batshit nuts. It's like he was asking someone to dig up the
dirt. Needless to say, someone did (and it was not us).

We ran the numbers on his Facebook Page. Seems he had
close to three hundred thousand followers (yes 300k) yet his
engagement is abysmally low. He might get a 100-200 likes on average
per post (based on the last couple months), and that's being kind,
which turns out to be a blip almost too low to register...so some
0.025%-0.05% of his readers are bothering to respond. That's one
fortieth to one twentieth of a single percent! Two hundred people out
of more than a quarter million!
Even we get close to one, up
to maybe two percent on average (so 80-200 likes on 9600 followers
currently) which is more the norm for pages like ours. And we cover
boring subjects...in a lot of people's minds. That Seph's posts are
not getting more action tells us two things and two thing only, that
A: many of his followers are bots or fake accounts and B: that most
of the rest are disinterested folks. Ouch. You can buy Facebook Likes
cheap, by the way, to inflate your numbers, which looks good to
start, but in the end does the opposite. People will eventually see
through it.
He does get higher than average comment
engagement however. But his controversial slant stirs up some of
them.
Another DOS attack from Russia, that failed, with Seph's
fingerprints all over it. Sigh.
Continuing: it's found he paid
to have a Wikipedia article put up. Normally, you earn an entry, but
Seph, he took the quick and dirty route. Surprised it worked too.
Wikipedia generally doesn't allow “advertisements” like
that.
Now you know. Here:

You gotta love this guy! Crazy as a loon, battling us for a
year and a half and showing no signs of stopping. If anything, it's
sure been entertaining!
